Away weekend in Kilkenny September 11-12, playing in Mount Juliet and in Kilkenny GC. Sunday October 18 in Coolatin GC and the Christmas scramble will be in Mountrath GC. Monasterevin Scouts
On Monday, 9 March, the scouts celebrated 30 years of scouting in Monasterevin. Fr Liam Merrigan celebrated Mass and the mass was followed by the investiture of cubs, scouts and leaders who will continue the good work in the years ahead. Fr Liam congratulated the founders of the unit thirthy years ago and all the leaders over the years who gave of their time to help the young. Unit leader Christy McEvoy thanked all who have supported the scouts and asked parents to become involved in the unit, he thanked all for their attendance especially, Pat Ryan one of the founding members and first unit leader also Eugene Nolan who served as a leader for many years. 

A presentation was made to Tony Kirwan for his 21 years service. Great credit is due to Christy McEvoy who has been outstanding in keeping scouting alive over 20 years. After the birthday cake was cut, all enjoyed refreshments.
 
Teagasc Seminar
Teagasc invite farm families and rural dwellers to an important seminar on 'Idea and Income Generation in food and rural tourism'. This seminar will be of special interest to small food producers and rural tourism providers who are already in business or for those exploring diversification options. Monasterevin Library competition
Easter bunny art competition will be run by Monasterevin Library. Closing date is April 4 and entry forms are available are available at the library.

Blood Donation Clinic
The blood Transfusion services will be in the GAA Pavillion Monasterevin on Wednesday 18 March from 4.30pm to 8.30pm and in the CYMS Hall Kildare on Thursday 19 from 4.30pm to 8.30pm and on Friday 20 from11am to 3.00pm.
 
Alzheimer Society of Ireland
There will be an information night held in Lumville House, Curragh, on Friday 20 March at 8pm. All welcome.

St Paul's Secondary school
Completed application forms for enrolment to St Pauls must be submitted to the secretary before Friday 20 March.
Parents Council of St Paul's School will be collecting at all Masses on Saturday and Sunday, 21-22 March, to raise funds for school equipment. Your support would be very much appreciated.
