Annual Senior Citizens Party

On Sunday, January 17, 190 senior citizens enjoyed their annual party held in the Hazel Hotel. A great day was enjoyed by all. Following a beautiful dinner, a raffle was held, the afternoon continued with music and dancing. A point of note, it was the first time in 44 years that the committee chairman, Mick McGlynn was unable to attend as he was laid low by flu bug. Get well soon Mick. Fr. Liam Merrigan congratulated the organising committee for the time and effort put into organising the annual party. Canon Leslie Stephenson also thanked the committee. MC Tom McGlynn thanked everyone for their support. A special thanks to Willoughbys Hardware who ran a big draw in aid of the party.

Local Councillors
Councillor Francis Brown will be raising with Kildare County Council the dangerous approach giving impared views at some bridges in the Monasterevin area, including Coughlans Lock and Oghill Bridge.
Cllr. Fionnuala Dukes has requested the ESB to replace the public lights that are out of order on Drogheda Street, Monasterevin, outside the school, the day care centre and the boys' national school, stressing that many members of the public need to use these locations after dark.
 
Aerobics AND Body Conditioning Class
