ICA resumes in Ellistown

Ellistown ICA resumed meetings in September. Members were welcomed back by the new president Mary Byrne and ably assisted by secretary Ruby Johnson. A full schedule is anticipated, with many projects planned.

The guild completed a computer course at the Race IT Training Centre, which proved very valuable and interesting and some members went on to complete the full ECDL course. A grant from the Department of Community Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs made this course possible for the members.

Due to the ongoing renovations at Ellistown GAA clubhouse, the guild is now holding their meetings at Aras Brid Kildare. This arrangement will continue until December. The guild’s next meeting will be held on Wednesday 1 November at 8pm. Mary Byrne will give a demonstration on Christmas decoration. New members welcome to come along and sample the meetings, which offer friendship and opportunities to develop new skills and interests, while meeting other people in the area.
