Monasterevin Credit Union held their AGM last night Wed 22 November in the Hazel Hotel. A large crowd turned up to hear that their Credit Union had another successful year. There has been growth in all areas except on loans which was little disapointing. Despite that, a dividend of 2% on shares and a rebate on interest of 5%. There were many visitors including the President of the League of Credit Unions Ann O'Byrne. There was a special mention for deceased members of the Credit Union especialy, Brendan Higgins, a Supervisor who passed away recently. The meeting was followed by a draw for 10 prizes of €100 and then attendees availed of the light refreshments provided on the night.
