Trainees

New committee had their first meeting on Friday 10th October 2008 in Lawler’s, Naas. Dive locations for 2009 were selected, see Dive Schedule

It was decided at the AGM not to take on trainees this season unless they have some diving qualifications & experience as we have sixteen trainees carried over from the last four seasons. We are committed to spending this coming season getting all those trainees up to Club diver standard & other club members qualified in Rescue, cox’n etc. This will however take commitment & cooperation on the trainee’s behalf.

Trainees who have missed lectures should e-mail Barry Lawler, Training Officer with a list of lectures missed. We will endeavour to cover these lectures or advice where they can be done. E-mail: Barry Lawler

Dived Up

The committee decided that all members must have twelve dives completed (four of those dives have to be 25m+) to take part on club holiday in Valentia Island from the 4th - 11th July 2009.

The August Bank Holiday weekend will be restrited to those members with Rescue/Nitrox qualified as we intend diving some of the deeper wrecks off Malin Head.
