Inish Bofin - June Bank Holiday Weekend

Because of the shortage of accommodation due to an orienteering competition on Inish Bofin for the June Bank Holiday weekend only 15 divers from Naas travelled. With perfect weather conditions, two boat & two compressors working well, it was a weekend to remember.                                                            Sunset(s).jpg                        Sunset on Bofin

With everyone pulling their weight there was loads of time for everyone to relax in the beautiful sunshine between dives.

Saturday morning kicked off with a dive on “Sunfish Rock” on the north side of the island & a spectacular swim through at “Glassillanon the North beach in the afternoon.

Sunday morning we dived the sheer wall dive of “Bouchal Rock on the west side of Inish Shark with the afternoon dive on the “Stags of Bofin

We even had the opportunity to swim with a basking shark on the way back into Bofin harbour.

Monday morning we had an early 8.30am start to dive the colourful “Spotted Rockwhich is located on the south side of Inish Gort, about 3 miles from Bofin Harbour. This was probably one of the nicest dives of the weekend & a great finish to the June Bank holiday weekend.
