From August 17th – 20th in the Methodist Church in Athy, a group of actors came together to create and play.
The "Wet Paint Gallery" in Emily Square in Athy will be hosting a Launch of the experimental project on Friday Night August 14th at 7.30pm
SOLAS, July 2009 - January 2010, an exhibition of artworks selected by staff at Naas General Hospital from Kildare County Councils' Municipal Art Collection, was officially launched by artist Patrick Pye in the hospital on Thursday 30 July 2009.
The launch of three significant three-year arts policy and strategy documents for Kildare County Council took place in Aras Chill Dara, Naas, on Thursday 9th July 2009.

As part of Kildare County Council’s Critical Debate in the Arts series, artist Rowena Keaveny has devised a Public Art project entitled ‘Hidden Wonders’. The project firstly aims to capture the hidden aspects of the county as personally nominated by citizens, employees or visitors to Kildare. The project can be viewed at www.hiddenwondersofkildare.com
As part of the Kildare Dance Summer School, Kildare County Council Arts Service will host a day dedicated to Youth Dance on Wednesday 22 July 2009.
**UPDATE** Seven Days play the New Band Stage on Saturday 11th July at 2pm. Box Social play the New Bands Stage on Sunday 12th July at 2pm. Seven Days and Box Social emerged victorious at the final of the Platform 5 Battle of the Bands competition. Both bands will now go on to perform on the New Band Stage at Oxegen 2009. The final took place in the Late Lounge on Friday 19th June 2009.

**THIS COURSE HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE** Approved by the Department of Education, this Summer Course for primary teachers will run as an independent module during the Kildare Dance Summer School. The course explores creative approaches to curriculum delivery including ICT, with emphasis on the artistic, cultural and expressive dimension of movement.

Maynooth Film for All: Film Club continues to bring the best of contemporary film to north Kildare audiences. The club’s next screening is La Antena on Wednesday, 8th April at 7.45pm, in JHL2, John Hume building, on the north campus.
A unique visual dialogue began between two prominent Print Studios in Ireland and Wales namely the Leinster Printmaking Studio, Co. Kildare and the Regional Print Centre, Wrexham, Wales. The exhibition will take place in the Graphic studio, Dublin from March 12th until the 4th April 2009, and will be opened by Lucina Russell, Arts Officer for Kildare County Council.
Congratulations to The Performance Corporation who received an award at the 12th annual Irish Times Theatre Awards which took place on Sunday March 1st. The best lighting designer award went to Kevin Treacy for The Performance Corporation’s production of The Nose by Nikolai Gogol, adapted by Tom Swift. Click link to read more.

Actor Donal O'Kelly and and playwright Jimmy Murphy will be in attendance at Maynooth Film for Alls screening of Tom Collins’s Irish language film KINGS in JHL2, NUI Maynooth on Wednesday 4th March at 7.45pm.
"Taxi to the Darkside" will be screened on Wednesday, 4th February at 7.45pm, in JHL2, John Hume building, on the north campus. This Oscar winning film examines the US military’s by now notorious practices of arbitrary detention, torture and extraordinary rendition.
