The first meeting of the committee for the new Maynooth Teen Café will be held on Thursday 3rd December in the Glenroyal Hotel at 7.30.

    • Maynooth P.P.  500+ points - 10 students (8.5% - Nat. Av 8.5%)
                               400+ points - 42 students (27.1% - Nat Av. 21.5%
  • Junior Cert top grade
    • Aishling Ni Chathain 12 A's
  • Suzi Farrell For coming 1st in Europe and 5th in the World in the Microsoft Worldwide Competition on Word.  There were 80,000 competitors from 52 countries.
Congratulations

-         To the senior boys’ football team who qualified for the Leinster Schools B final. This will take place on March 21st, location to be confirmed.  Thanks to Thortons recycling and NULIM for used of their facilities.  They were treated to a team meal in Twist café.
-          To the u14 boys football team for winning their Leinster B final
-          To Ciara Hewston for winning 2nd place in the All-Ireland cross country race
-          To the girls’ basketball team who reached the quarter-finals

 

BT Young Scientist Win 2009

Congratulations to Christopher and Daniel Hobbs,  for scooping first prize in their category at the BT Young Scientest competition.

BT Young Scientist 2008

Congratulations to the two first year students for winning second prize in their category. Their entry involved devising an environmentally inclined robot that could also increase safety in the home.

All Ireland Tae kwon Do Championships


On Saturday 8th December the all ireland Taek Won Do competitions took place at the new Tallaght Leisure Centre.
Six members of Maynooth Post primary took home medals.

Senans Fairwell do

On Friday 30th November the PTA treated former Principal Senan Griffen to a lovely dinner in Barberstown Castle. A good night was had by all despite the sadness of the occassion.

Senan leaves behind him a great legacy and a hard act to follow. Farewell Senan and the best of luck in your future, I am sure we will see plenty more of you.
