The Rose of Tralee, Maggie Mc Eldowney, on a special return trip to Kildare earlier this month, announced details of the Tipperary Crystal Rose Race Day taking place at the Curragh on Sunday 27th August.

THE First World War diaries of a leading Co. Kildare industrialist have been published by his grandson.
Eric Rigby-Jones founded his company, Irish Ropes, in the disused British cavalry barracks in Newbridge in 1933. 


Kildare to play host to prestigious Rose Tour ahead of 2017 Rose of Tralee International Festival

LAST year's day-long Rose experience in Kildare was so successful, the county will double the hospitality in 2017 and welcome the International Roses for two-days next August, before the Rose of Tralee International Festival.

Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Best Dressed Window Competition Winners

The Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby weekend is finally upon us, and Dubai Duty Free have officially announced the deserved winners of the Best Dressed Window competition. Now in its third year, entrants went bigger and better, and with much difficulty, Sinead El Sibai, Senior Vice President of Dubai Duty Free, chose the Kildare based winners.

Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Day Sells Out

Ticket sales for Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Day on Saturday 1st July have now reached the capacity of 6,000 and no tickets are available for purchase. The race day is strictly a ticket only event. Tickets still available for Friday & Sunday of the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Festival.

The Bog of Allen Nature Centre was celebrating World Environment Day on June 6th and people were invited to come along between 10am-4pm and discovered how to create a greener garden for their homes.
