Athy's third festival of traditional music

Visit Athy for a festival of music, song and craic in some of the country's oldest venues- including Athy Heritage Centre Museum and the Athy Community Arts Centre.

Venues include Athy Arts Centre, Athy heritage centre, Clancy's traditional irish pub, Patrick Dunnes pub and events by the river barrow. For our gathering we are bringing home musicians from England and America and dancers from Germany.

Our aim is to Gather together to celebrate our tradition of music in Athy. Clancy's of Athy has the longest running traditional music session in all of Ireland. We have organised a group of Clancys from Missouri in America to travel over for the gathering 2013. Also guests  from Doncaster in the UK who travelled for last years TradAthy and expressed a wish to come back to Ireland.

Many people who have attended Athy for the music sessions throughout the year have expressed a wish to come back in 2013 . Our aim is to bring them back to Athy for our music festival on the May bank holiday.
