Match Report Under 14 Kynog United V Kill Celtic
UNDER 14 MAJOR DIVISION SAT 12TH APRIL
KILL CELTIC 0
KYNOG UNITED 4
Kynog United completed their league programme on Saturday last with a resounding victory away to Kill Celtic. Starting brightly Kynog opened the scoring in the 10th minute when a Gavin Crowe corner found Patrick Hudson who finished neatly. The passing and movement of the Kynog players improved as the half wore on and they were rewarded in the 28th minute when a fine left foot strike from Martin Baneham doubled the visitors advantage. The second half saw Kynog create a number of chances with Conor Staines prominent and he duly added two further goals after getting on the end of passes from Shane Merriman and Darren Carty. Indeed he was only denied a hat- trick by some fine goalkeeping by the Kill keeper. A mention to the defence of Kynog who looked solid throughout and limited the Kill attack to few chances.
Finally a word of thanks to all the children who have represented the team and the club this year at this age level. They are a great bunch of lads who continue to show a good attitude in training and a willingness to learn which augurs well for the future.
