More delay for Garda station

09 October 2003: Objections from the Office of Public Works have further delayed the provision of a new Garda Station for Leixlip.

According to the office of the minister for finance, Charlie McCreevy TD, a design sketch scheme submitted by the Department of Justice, Equality & Law Reform was not considered 'appropriate' by the OPW.

The justice department is currently reconsidering the matter.
