Competitive day of seven races with first off at 2.15pm

The world famous Curragh Racecourse will theme their race day on Sunday 31st August 2014 to celebrate the Croke Park American Football Classic taking place the previous day featuring Penn State University taking on University of Central Florida 

A packed programme of seven races starting at 2.15pm will feature the Croke Park Classic Stakes, Penn State University Handicap and University of Central Florida Stakes

Evan Arkwright, Commercial Manager of the Curragh Racecourse, commented: “The race day is a wonderful opportunity for us to attract US visitors to the races for a fun day out and for us to showcase why Ireland is one of the world leaders in horse racing.”

The Curragh is the premier international horse racing venue in Ireland staging some of the world’s most prestigious races. It is located approx 30kms from Dublin City Centre. Dublin Coach (dublincoach.ie) provides a race day service from Dublin, while trains from Heuston Station in Dublin to Kildare Town are met by a free shuttle bus to the races.
