Kildare Town Reeling in the Memories - DVD Launch

Official Launch of Cill Dara Historical Society, Kildare Town's Local History Group's DVD by Pauline Goddard Keogh (daughter of Mr. Ernie Goddard, Presentation School's Drill Instructor)

Compiled and Edited by Joseph Connelly and Sean Sourke, "Kildare Town Reeling in the Memories" contains almost three hours of old 8mm films that have been converted to DVD format.

The contents include:- 

• The Presentation Schools' Drill Displays from the 1950s and 1960s    
• The Corpus Christi Procession 1964
• Confirmation 1964
• Derby House Hotel on Fire 1968
• Kildare Town Soccer Club  from 1960s, 1970s etc.
• Rowanville Residents switching on the Christmas Lights 1967 and 1969 and their Children's  Christmas Party 1968
• The Gannon Family on the bog
• Plus Kildare Wallpapers - St Brigid's Tennis Club - Magee Barracks Run - Cill Dara RFC -  CYMS Outing 1964  -  Assumpta Villas Mass on the Green  and  French Furze Riding Stables.
