NAAS URBAN COUNCIL
TUESDAY.
…
THE AUTOMOBILE RACE.
In reply to Mr. Hayden, Mr. Brown said that he was pleased
to be in a position to deny authoritatively the statement
that Naas was struck out of the route of the motor race on account of the apathy
of the people. The sole reason of the change was the unsuitability of the Naas
and Kilcullen, and the Naas and Newbridge roads, and the
secretary of the Automobile Club assured him that the project had received
every possible assistance and support from the people of Naas. It might be
that Naas would yet derive some benefit from the race.
