COURSE TITLE: FOUNDATION IN FARRIER TRAINING

DURATION: Up to 44 weeks

COURSE AIM: To provide participants with the skills to enable them to secure employment in a relevant field.

TRAINEE PROFILE:
Aged 17 and upwards with Junior Certificate or equivalent which includes a pass in Mathematics and English.

TRAINING METHODS:
44 weeks of formal training with a heavy reliance on practical "hands on" exercises. The instructions will also include lectures, project work, individual assignments and external work experience.

Training SchoolCERTIFICATION:
Foundation Certificate from Irish Farrier School.
Candidates who successfully complete this course are deemed to have completed the first year of the four year apprentice Farrier Course.
