Mondello Masters Prize Fund Boosted by MCUI

Mondello Park LogoThe new for 2008 ‘Mondello Masters’ series has received a further boost with the announcement that the MCUI Short Circuit Committee have added to the already substantial prize fund on offer for the three events. The race organisers have added an additional €2,000 to the first and third events with €4,000 being added to the pre North West 200 race in May.

The additional funds are being committed by the organising clubs and will now mean a top prize of €3,500 for the opening ‘Mondello Masters’ race on April 12th & 13th, a €7,500 winners cheque on May 10th & 11th and €3,500 for victory in the final event on October 4th & 5th. This fund is then topped up by the offer of €2,000 for a rider who wins two ‘Masters’ races and €5,000 for winning all three.

This substantial investment by Mondello and the MCUI means that a rider winning all three Mondello Masters races and all three concurrent ISB rounds at the circuit, would earn an unprecedented total of €24,000 for just three events. The total prize fund on offer for the Mondello Park ISB rounds has now soared to €85,500.

Mondello Park is currently receiving an unprecedented number of enquiries from at home and abroad and hopes to be able to announce details of riders and teams committed to the series very shortly. Anyone interested in finding out more can contact Mondello Park or visit www.mondellopark.ie over the coming weeks for details.
