The Kildare Football team will travel to Dr Hyde Park in Roscommon on Saturday, 07 July at 3pm. Having been knocked out of the Leinster Championship by Meath on Sunday 20th May in Croke Park, Kildare will be looking for a good run in this year’s qualifiers.
After a strong performance in the National Football League in the Spring, where they eventually lost the the NFL Semi-Final to eventual winners Donegal by 2 points, it seemed that Kildare would be a strong contender for Leinster Championship honours.
But manager John Crofton will now want to progress to the latter stages of the Qualifiers in order to live up to the early optimism his team acquired from their National League campaign.
Dermot Earley is back in training with the Senior Panel and may play some part in Saturday’s game.
