As part of the Annual SIPTU May Day Labour History School Weekend in Athy, Co. Kildare we are inviting papers to celebrate the 220th anniversary of the Barrow navigation.
Papers will be particularly welcome from those addressing the issues and conditions of workers on the Barrow. Papers will be presented on Saturday 30 April.
Those interested should send a short abstract of 300 words by email to Dr Noel Kavanagh (email: nkavanagh@carlowcollege.ie) by 4 April 2011.
