Festival fever hits Kildare Village this July. In a series of themed weekends, Kildare Village becomes a stage and invites you to join the party. Each weekend the celebration will include FREE entertainment, live music, street theatre and Irish artisan food.
Please come along to Kildare Village and enjoy the HOMEGROWN WEEKEND from Thursday, 7th July - Sunday, 10th July.
Showcasing Irish musical talent, the Village will also have genealogy experts on hand so that guests can discover their ancestral roots.
So please join us at Kildare Village any Thursday or Friday in July starting from July 7th to talk to genealogists from Irish Family History Foundation (www.rootsireland.ie) to get advice and further information on how to search for your Irish ancestors.
Before you know it, you could be uncovering a wealth of family history. Please remember to bring along some basic information on the day such as: name and name variations, age, occupation, religion, spouse’s name possible parents’ names, possible age of parents, possible associates and any other information on any other family members you may have.
