“Mindfulness Skills for Better Living” Course

6 Tues Evenings, Nov 5th – Dec 10th 2013

Croí Anú Creative Centre, Moone, Co. Kildare


This Course is an adaptation of the famous Mindfulness-Based-Stress-Reduction (MBSR)Course, as developed by Jon Kabat Zinn© and will allow you develop the practice of mindfulness meditation in a group setting.


Mindfulness consists of evidence-based, scientifically researched techniques that can lead to a healthier and happier mind, and mindfulness training has become one of the most important techniques in modern stress management, pain management, and in increasing contentment in life.

This is a practical, skills-based Course aimed at allowing you develop new practices to work with pressure, reduce stress, develop greater focus, and grow in happiness, giving you powerful tools to use in this age of anxiety and relentless pressures.

The Course will consist of:

  • 6 Tuesday evening sessions of about 2.0 hours (19.15 – 21.30) involving practice of skills, teaching and discussion
  • Guided practice at home on the other days of the week, with CD’s and Handouts to outline the skills.
  • A longer Saturday session to consolidate the practices.

Karl Duffy, Mental Health Counsellor and Trainer, has over 1500 hours of leading mindfulness meditation training for adults and individuals, as well as running schools programmes and in workplaces such as the World Health Organization and the Red Cross.
