Presentation of FETAC Certificates at Allenwood Enterprise Park

The Allenwood Community Development Association can be proud of the facilities and training it provides in North West Kildare. Over 300 participants completed FETAC and ECDL courses in 2009.

Speaking at the presentation of FETAC Certificates on Thursday 29th October, Michael Fitzpatrick T.D. highlighted the importance of Allenwood Community Development Association's involvement in providing facilities for jobs, training and education in the Enterprise Park since it was taken over in 1999 from the ESB after the closure of Allenwood Power Station. 

He added that the facilities provided there give fantastic support to a range of agencies delivering a Community Development Programme in North West Kildare. They also provide Enterprise space to business start ups and developing businesses along with flexible terms and affordable rates. He went on pay tribute to Hilary Ann Murphy, FETAC Co-Ordinator for Allenwood Community Development Association, her staff and supporters for their work and for their contributions to the success of this programme.

Allenwood Community Development Association have invested heavily in providing facilities in the Enterprise Park. The success of these courses and the large number of participants are a positive return from this investment.
