Planning Permission for New Kill National School

Deputy Emmet Stagg has warmly welcomed the decision by Kildare Co. Council to grant planning permission, on Wednesday August 20th, for the New National School for Kill.

The School, stated Deputy Stagg, will have 32 classrooms and ancillary accommodation, Basketball Courts, Hard Playing Area, Playing Pitch, 2 Libraries and a General Purposes Room.

"The grant of Planning Permission is great news for the people of Kill and what is required now is for the Minister for Education to allocate Capital Funding to enable the project to commence construction in 2008. Solemn commitments were given by the former Minister for Education in the Dail in 2006 in relation to the construction of the new school and it's about time that capital funding was now put in place."
