Results of the 2007 Leaving Certificate Examination will be in schools on Wednesday 15th August 2007. They will also be available on www.examinations.ie at 12 noon on that date. Students have until the 5th September to send in result appeal applications.
Results are also forwarded to the CAO and students will recieve offers for third level courses within a few days of recieving their leaving cert results. Almost 62,000 students applied for college courses through the CAO in Feburary 2007, with Arts and Social Science courses having the largest number of applicants.
County Kildare students have a good track record with leaving cert results. In 2006, the only student in the country to get nine A1s was a student of the Patrician Secondary School in Newbridge.
