Kildare Volunteer Bureau have announced volunteering opportunities with the new Cheshire Ireland Respite Centre

Cheshire Ireland, a National organisation providing support, advocacy, accommodation and personal assistance to people with a physical/sensory disability over 18 years of age, wish to recruit volunteers for a range of activities at it’s new respite centre in Newbridge.
Opportunity: (1) Drivers to take residents around the area during their stay in Newbridge
Skills: Full driving licence
Time: 1-2 hours per week
Opportunity: (2) People to befriend residents during their stay e.g. take someone shopping, socialise etc.,
Skills: A pleasant outgoing personality
Time: 1-2 Hours per week
Opportunity:(3) A person to assist with general upkeep of premises
Skills : Gardening, DIY
Time: 1-2 Hours per week
Opportunity:(4) Arts & crafts person
Skills: Competent in Arts & Crafts
Time: 1-2 hours per week
Opportunity:(5) People to demonstrate a range of culinary dishes
Skills: Talented cook
Time: 1-2 hours per week
Opportunity:(6) Alternative therapies e.g Reflexology, Hand massage, Indian head massage etc.,
Skills: Qualified therapists
Time: 1-2 hours per week
All volunteers are required to undergo Garda vetting
