Naas Racecourse: 'The Punters Playground'

When asked about how the recession might hit Naas Racecourse, Manager Tom Ryan was very positive when explaining that Naas Racecourse offers superb hospitality packages which includes admission, racecard, reserved table in the panoramic restaurant and four-course silver service dining from €55-€60.

The Restaurant has also had a facelift of late which saw the addition of multiple plasma screen televisions, designed for those who prefer the on-screen action to the ample viewing of the action from their seat in the ‘panoramic’ restaurant. Renowned caterers O’Brien Lynch offer Racegoers a wide range of choice and extraordinary value in their Panoramic Package Menu and there is something on the wine list to suit all palettes and varying budgets. Tom Ryan acknowledged “In comparison to most of our competitors in the market, we offer racegoers a wide variety of great value hospitality packages for a fraction of the price.

We never jumped on the ‘Celtic Tiger Bandwagon’ in the first place as traditionally Naas has always been the punter’s track which serves a large community of people from all walks of life and we were always conscious of the punters perception of value for money, quality of facilities and efficient service. The reality is no matter what happens in our economy businesses will still need to entertain clients, big birthdays will continue to be celebrated and people will always require a social outlet at which to enjoy quality time with friends and family.

I believe that although this will continue at some level regardless of our economy, people will now look for good value and exceptional service which is exactly what we offer all our punters here at Naas. I couldn’t be anything but extremely positive about the future.”
