ETBI/North Kildare Chamber launch Business Education Forum

North Kildare ChamberEducation and Training Boards Ireland (ETBI) and North Kildare Chamber today launched the second Business Education Forum jointly organised by both bodies this year.  The theme is a topical subject “is education and training meeting the needs of industry”.   High profile speakers from business in Kildare will be speaking – Des Kavanagh, MD of Jungheinrich in Maynooth and Eileen O’Riordan, HR Director of Pfizer in Newbridge.  Representing the education sector will be Paul O’Toole who is director of FAS and Professor Bernard Mahon from NUI Maynooth.

Allan Shine from North Kildare Chamber said "We are delighted to jointly host this forum with the ETBI and the high profile speakers secured for the debate will be of great interest to the business sector."  

General Secretary of the ETBI, Michael Moriarty said “Direct engagement between the education and training sector with industry must be a key feature of the sectorial cooperation required so that the skills supply can meet the evolving needs of industry".

The forum is on at 6pm in the ETBI HQ in Pipers Hill College in Naas on the 3rd October.  Booking is essential for this forum as it is limited to 80 people.  Allan Shine said “ Bookings can be made through the Chamber on 045 894074."
