Education and Training Boards Ireland (ETBI) and North Kildare Chamber today launched the second Business Education Forum jointly organised by both bodies this year. The theme is a topical subject “is education and training meeting the needs of industry”. High profile speakers from business in Kildare will be speaking – Des Kavanagh, MD of Jungheinrich in Maynooth and Eileen O’Riordan, HR Director of Pfizer in Newbridge. Representing the education sector will be Paul O’Toole who is director of FAS and Professor Bernard Mahon from NUI Maynooth.

General Secretary of the ETBI, Michael Moriarty said “Direct engagement between the education and training sector with industry must be a key feature of the sectorial cooperation required so that the skills supply can meet the evolving needs of industry".
