Summer Workshop Fun at Riverbank Arts Centre

With art, dance, music, drama and more, so far this Summer, Riverbank Arts Centre, Newbridge has hosted a variety of unusual, interesting and fun-filled workshops for children and teenagers. Pictured here are particpants of EXPERIMENT and weeklong art workshop with artist Sinead McGeeney. Throughout the week students worked with various materials such as UV light, balloons, graffiti, origami paper and more. Dance fans were also treated to a weeklong crash course in contemporary dance with the Irish-American company expandance last week which culminated in a live performance on Friday afternoon.

Experiment

The fun is not over yet however, teenagers with an interest in recording, performing and producing music will have an opportunity to take part in a special Summer Songschool from August 3rd to 6th at Riverbank, Summer Songschool is designed for those interested in writing & recording songs, making a video and learning about music technology. They will have the opportunity to meet people who love music as much as they do, not to mention forming bands & having fun. All Summer Songschool students receive a CD of songs written and recorded, a DVD of videos produced and a Songschool IMRO certiļ¬cate of participation.
