Comedienne and star of RTE's Naked Camera, Maeve Higgins is set to play an unmissable show at Riverbank Arts Centre on Wednesday 19th August. The hilarious Maeve Higgins is a regular contributor to the Ray D'arcy Show, and is known and loved for her quirky role in the candid camera style RTE show, Naked Camera. Now, thanks to the Schnitzel Comedy Club Season at Riverbank Arts Centre she will take her side-splitting comedy to Newbridge.
Since beginning stand up four years ago, Maeve has performed in comedy festivals around the world, including Edinburgh, Melbourne, Adelaide and Kilkenny and is fast becoming a household name on the Irish comedy scene. In her 2006 debut show, Ha Ha Yum, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Maeve did stand-up while her sister Lilly made cakes- just a sample of the eccentricities of this comedienne. The show went on to a season in Dublin’s prestigious Andrews Lane Theatre, followed by a sold-out stand-up tour around Ireland. Never afraid to share her most embarrassing moments, Maeve's down to earth style of comedy is filled with hilarious, occasionally controversial but always hilarious observations on everyday life- guaranteed to have everyone in stitches.
