Newbridge Children Dance through the Decades at Riverbank

Rehearsals are in full swing and the children of Newbridge stage school, StageWorks, are very excited about their upcoming showcase ‘Dancing through the Decades’ at Riverbank Arts Centre.

On Saturday March 20th, at 2pm and 8pm, prepare to be transported in music, song and dance from the roaring 20’s to the glitzy noughties as StageWorks presents ‘Dancing through the Decades’

‘Dancing through the Decades’  is choreographed, produced and directed by Brenda Malone of StageWorks.

With 120 local children involved in the show, the members of the stage shool have been rehearsing for the last four months. Director Brenda Malone feels that the real beauty of this show is that it has exposed the children to various styles of music and dance like tap, charleston, contemporary and hip hop from 1920s to 2010. Now at dress rehearsals, the costumes from the last ten decades add the finishing touches to this energetic production.

Enjoy the show, sing and clap along as children ranging in ages from  4 to 16 dance and sing their way through the decades. An energetic, glittering, fun-filled show that will lift your spirits and leave you wanting more.
