Mid-Term Music and Art Workshops at Riverbank

If it’s mid-term entertainment you after then Riverbank Arts Centre has workshops to suit all those on their mid-term break. On Tuesay October 27th, those with a desire to improve their music skills can take part in flute and whistle workshops. In this one-day set of flute and whistle workshops, students will learn to play new tunes by ear including jigs, reels, hornpipes, polkas, slides.  Work on different types of ornamentation; cuts, rolls, taps, slides, and crans.

Learn breathing techniques, articulation, embouchure and Work on style, variations and phrasing of tunes and more. Pupils with some proficiency on the flute or whistle will benefit greatly from this one-day workshop.  Teaching and written notation will be available at the end of the day (It is recommended to bring a recording device to record these tunes for future learning)  The Flute Workshop takes place at Riverbank Arts Centre, Newbridge Tuesday 27th October from 10am- 12.30pm, Price €5.
