Lights in the Dusk is a modern morality tale of loneliness in the postmodern city. Shy nightwatchman Koistinen is virtually ostracised by his fellow security guards and lives alone in a modest apartment.

Until that is, he meets Mirja, who seems to respond sympathetically to his slightly old - fashioned, even gentlemanly manner. The film is set in Ruoholahti, a district south-west of Helsinki recently developed as part harbour, part business park (it is the former home of Nokia) and part residential area.

Following this screening  Maynooth Film for All, Film Club  takes a break until the Autumn. Please contact Brenda Tel: 045 448328 Email: bbrady@kildarecoco.ie if you want to be included in our mailing list for next season's brochure .
