The Kildare Screenwriters' Guild was formed by a committed group of budding writers who initially met on a screenwriting introductory course provided by the Kildare Arts & Libraries Service.
Such was the success of the course that follow-on workshops were held and members continue to meet on a monthly basis, to offer mutual support and advice.
An additional workshop is currently being funded by the Kildare Arts & Libraries Service, providing the group with a masterclass in script editing and scene analysis by Michael Kinirons, held at the Riverbank Centre, Newbridge, on the first and third Wednesday of each month.
Each session examines a participant's script in detail and guides the group through the process of analysing scenes, structure and dramatic content.
Anyone interested in sitting in on a session can contact Lissa Oliver at 059 8626304.
