The plains of Kildare were certainly alive with the sound of music on Saturday 25th May 2002 with the Kildare Children Tzipora Music Festival at Goffs. The festival featured two concerts, showcasing the work of Kildare County Council's Music Outreach Programme over the last year in primary schools throughout Kildare. The festival programme ranged from chamber groups with children as young as seven years of age, to percussion, woodwind and choral work, performed by children from St. Joseph's Boys National School, Kilcock; Scoil Choca Naofa, Kilcock; Scoil Chearbhaill Uí Dhálaigh, Leixlip; Clocha Rince National School, Moyvalley; Scoil Bhríde, Kill; Broadford National School; Lackagh National School, Monasterevin; Caragh National School; Prosperous; Rathmore National School, Naas; Scoil Bhríde, Athgarvan; Newtown National School, Enfield; Scoil Phadraig Naofa, Athy and Scoil Naomh Lorcain, Levitstown, Maganey.
