The Drifters In Concert

Riverbank Arts Centre, Newbridge
Thursday 9 October
8.00pm (Tickets €20 / €18)
Booking 045 448333

The Drifters were formed in 1953 in down town New York, and have survived various line-up changes throughout the years, enjoying huge success in both the US and Europe.

After a number of hits in the 50’s and 60’s, The Drifters gained chart success in Britain throughout the 70’s and early 80’s. Today, some 40 years on, their music can still be heard on radio stations throughout the world. The Dirfters are one of the very few truly live bands still playing the Club, Theatre, and Concert circuit – and are successful in all three.

Whenever The Drifters appear, you can be sure of large crowds and a truly entertaining evening of nostalgia as the guys blast out hit after hit in a 100 minute non-stop action show of glamour and favourite oldies sung by the originals.

So whether your favourite tune is ‘Saturday Night at the Movies’, or ‘There Goes My First Love’, you will be treated to a truly entertaining evening of electrifying hits spanning some 35 years , sung by The Drifters. They have often been imitated, but never equalled. Their popularity continues to grow.

The line-up of songs will include, Under The Boardwalk, Save The Last Dance For Me, Come on Over To My Place, Kissing in the Back Row, There Goes my First Love, You’re More than a Number in My Little Red Book, and many others!

Direct from Las Vegas, The Drifters return to Ireland for a short tour, so why not take a trip down Memory Lane on Thursday 9th October at the Riverbank, as The Drifters perform all of the hits that made them household names world-wide.
