Kildare, Meath and Westmeath County Councils invite submissions for the following artistic scheme.
M4 Kinnegad Enfield Kilcock MOTORWAY PROJECT
Kildare, Meath and Westmeath County Councils wish to commission a new public art work for the M4 Motor Way project at Cappagh Hill, Co. Kildare. This project is an innovative three county initiative.
It is envisaged that this artwork will enhance the local environment and act as a focal point for those living in the vicinity and travelling the route. There is no specific theme for this initiative. However, the artists' submissions may by influenced by the culture and history of the area.
The budget available for the commission is €55,000
This commission will be awarded by open competition with a two-stage selection process.
Closing date for receipt of submissions is Friday October 1st 2004.
Site visits will be conducted from Enfield on Wednesday September 1st 2004.
