Drama League of Ireland Summer School
The Drama League of Ireland hosts the 39th Residential Summer School at the National University of Ireland from 31st July to 7th August. Kildare County Council awarded two bursaries to attend the Summer School - To acknowledge the work of the Drama League and to support the development of local actors.
The Silken Thomas Players nominated recipients of the awards, Linda Morgan, Monasterevin and Kieron Walsh, Kildare Town.
Tyrone Gutherie Award
The Tyrone Gutherie residency bursary enables artists to spend two weeks at the Tyrone Gutherie Centre at Annaghmakerrig, the artists retreat in Monaghan.
Kildare County Council has awarded bursaries to Peter Hussey, Newbridge, in the field of drama and Kate Dempsey, Maynooth in the field of literature.
