Jason Byrne and Loose Canon have spent the last two years in intensive application of the work of Grotowski, Stanislavski and Meyerhold, culminating most recently in their version of Macbeth during last October’s Theatre Festival. Annie Ryan Artistic Director, The Corn Exchange Extra dates may be added subject to demand.
Annie Ryan and The Corn Exchange have uniquely developed the Renaissance commedia dell ‘ arte into a contemporary, dynamic and focused style of performance driven by her experience of working in improv in Chicago. Over the last five years their vision has been successfully applied to The Seagull, A Streetcar Named Desire and Baby Jane, and has also included the hugely successful series of Car Shows. These workshops will be improv-based leading to a working outline (using costumes and make-up) of the characters and situations found in commedia.
