Creative Writing Workshops
Josie Devine, a primary school teacher from Newbridge, produced the text on the cover of this edition of Artyfacts. Josie was a participant in the highly successful creative writing workshops facilitated by travel writer Mary Russell in various libraries in September / October 2002. The Library and Arts Service will host another series of creative writing workshops in the autumn.
Cecil Day Lewis Poetry and Short Story Competition
The Cecil Day Lewis Awards Ceremony will take place in Athy Library on Thursday 10th April at 8pm. Winners will be notified by post in advance of the award ceremony. A list of winners will be published on www.kildare.ie/arts/index.asp and in local press.
