‘Hand in Hand’ a sculpture by Kildare artist Annette Mc Cormack

A recent addition to public art in the county is ‘Hand in Hand’ a sculpture by Kildare artist Annette Mc Cormack. ‘ The light and joyful figures symbolise the harmonious interplay between…Industry and Community, between Industry and the environment. The dancing figure move lightly and gracefully from the past to the present soaring onwards and upwards just as the bulk of the workforce have moved from heavy physical work to the light cerebral more head space centre’. This piece was commissioned by the IDA Business Park and is an example of how the business community can support the arts, a notion which is promoted locally by Newbridge Community Development.
