**UPDATE** Seven Days play the New Band Stage on Saturday 11th July at 2pm. Box Social play the New Bands Stage on Sunday 12th July at 2pm. Seven Days and Box Social emerged victorious at the final of the Platform 5 Battle of the Bands competition. Both bands will now go on to perform on the New Band Stage at Oxegen 2009. The final took place in the Late Lounge on Friday 19th June 2009.

PLATFORM I was a series of monthly workshops featuring the cream of Irish singer songwriter talent including Steve and Joe Wall, (Stunning, The Walls), Mundy, Declan O’Rourke, Ollie Cole, with Marilyn Bane. This series provided a unique opportunity for those who have ever wanted to pick up a guitar or sing their own song while learning from the masters.
