Kildare Town Transport Strategy
Kildare County Council are currently developing a Transport Strategy for Kildare Town and have commissioned consultants, AECOM for this purpose. The Transport Strategy intends to address current issues, anticipate future problems in the transport network and aid in informing future land use proposals.
A ‘Phase 1’ public consultation survey was undertaken during June and July 2020 which gathered views from the public on transport issues in Kildare Town as well as ideas for potential solutions. This feedback helped to inform the development of the measures in the draft Transport Strategy.
Kildare County Council now wishes to invite feedback from members of the public on the specific measures contained in the draft Kildare Town Transport Strategy.
A survey will be opened on Tuesday,13 July 2021 on the Kildare County Council’s Public Consultation Portal, available at:
Links to the draft Kildare Town Transport Strategy Report and a Summary Document will be given on the opening page of the survey.
Copies of the Transport Strategy will also be available to view at Kildare Town Library and the Kildare Town Tourist Office / Heritage Centre. Access to Kildare Town Library is by appointment only. Appointments must be made in advance by ringing 045 520235.
Comments will be welcomed from the public with respect to the specific measures contained in the Draft Strategy.
Responses to the survey will be collected between Tuesday, 13 July 2021 and Tuesday, 10 August 2021.
Submissions or observations can be made via the consultation portal or in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Roads, Transportation and Public Safety Department, Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co. Kildare.
