Kildare Local Live Performance Programming Scheme Phase II Open Call announced

Kildare County Council invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to the Kildare Local Live Performance Programming scheme, Phase III.

The scheme, in conjunction with Kildare’s Creative Ireland Programme, aims to support live performance opportunities in the county from April to June 2022. This scheme should support cross-collaborative events or initiatives in the county, contributing to the implementation of Kildare’s Culture and Creativity Strategy 2018-2022. This scheme is funded through the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.

The Kildare Local Live Performance Programming scheme, Phase III will assist established artists, arts organisations/groups, producers and promoters to programme and present live performance events in county Kildare. It is expected that this scheme will provide successful applicants the opportunity to deliver new activities, beyond the scope of their core activity or usual programme of events.

5 awards (€15,000 each) are available to support programming across county Kildare which features a diverse programme across multiple artforms. Funding may be used to support fees for performers (across all genres), designers, technicians, crew, lighting and sound engineers, support staff and associated costs. It is expected that locally based professional artists will feature as an element of the successful proposal.  While public health guidelines should be considered, proposals are welcome that will include live audiences.

Kildare County Council welcomes applications from individuals, groups or organisations who represent the diversity of Irish society. We encourage applications from all areas of the community regardless of your gender, sexual orientation, civil or family status, religion, age, disability, race or membership of the Traveller Community, or socio-economic background. Applications from artists whose first language is not English are welcome.

The application forms for this award, with eligibility criteria, is available online: https://kildarecoco.submit.com//show/100

The closing date for applications to the Kildare Local Live Performance Programming Scheme Phase III is Monday 21st March 2022, 5pm.
