Mondello Park

Mondello Park is a name synonymous with car and motorcycle racing.

Mondello Park International Race Circuit is the only FIA Licenced Motor Racing circuit in the Republic of Ireland and has been the home of motorsport in Ireland since opening in 1968.

Motor Racing

Since 2000 Mondello Park International Race Circuit has staged a round of the FIA Sports Car Championship, run a European championship historic racing event, hosted several rounds of the British Touring Car Championship, British GT and Formula 3 series.

Mondello Park was the first overseas venue to ever feature on the British Superbike Championship calendar.

Mondello Park is now an internationally recognised motor sport facility.

The original track layout in 1968 was 1.28km (0.8 mile) and this was was extended to 1.6km (1.2 miles) for the start of the 1969 season. 

In 1998 the circuit was extended to 3.5km (2.2 miles).

Track Layouts

 

Mondello Park currently uses two circuit options for Race Events, the National Track and the International Track. We also have a separate Rallycross layout and other track formats which are used for our Driving Experiences and Track Days.

Irish Championship Car Racing

 

Mondello Park plays host to no less than 10 Car Racing championships throughout the year, from grass roots classes like the Fiesta Zetec Championship, right through to BOSS Single Seaters which include the fastest, fire breathing, F1 engined machines in the country!

Masters Superbike Championship

 

The Masters Superbike Championship is Ireland’s biggest Motorcycle Racing Championship. The championship attracts the best of Ireland’s short circuit racers, many of whom regularly compete on the support package of the British Superbike Championship, along with occasional appearances by top Road Racers backed up by an impressive line-up of local stars and up and coming young riders.

The Irish Rallycross Championship

 

The Irish Rallycross Championship is a sport that offers door to door racing across mixed surfaces in four lap races. 

The Championship caters for all budgets and all age groups from 14 upwards both male and female.

The Championship runs on 2 different circuits, Mondello Park and Tynagh Co.Galway, between February and November.
