Opening 2005. An international centre for
peatland education, conservation and research. The centre
offers the opportunity of exploring the history of bogs
and peat over the ages and of learning about the unique flora
and fauna associated with bogs. Education programmes focusing
on peatland ecology, conservation and wildlife are available
for primary and post primary school groups. A programme
of guided walks across the Bog of Allen, tours of the visitor
centre and workshops on peat-free gardening and composting
are also on offer as are group visits to the Flytraps Bog
Garden containing over 50 different species of insect-eating
plants from around the world.

Award-winning family attraction situated in
the heart of the Bog of Allen. The Park consists of gardens,
woodland walks, accurate recreations of dwellings from
Irish history and an exhibition on the 1798 rebellion from
a County Kildare viewpoint. A large adventure play area provides
hours of entertainment along with train trips, crazy golf
and the newest addition, the Funky Forest, a fun-packed state-of-the-art
indoor play centre.

Built by the Berminghams, Grange Castle became the family home of the Tyrrells in the early 18th century. A fine example of a late 15th century Tower House set in six acres of timbered grounds and adjoined by a Georgian cottage. It is the focal point of a complex of walled enclosures, including a walled garden and a recently constructed Labyrinth.

Ballindoolin is an historic Irish country
house with a two acre walled kitchen garden, demesne museum,
children's farmyard, and a nature and heritage trail in Ballindoolin's
ancient woods. There are afternoon tours around the Georgian
house (which dates from 1822) and a café and craft
shop.

An elegant 18th century walled garden adjoining
a Palladian house of 1760. Most noteworthy are some of
the original features; the enchanting 18th century beech
walk, the sunken grass tennis court and an old orchard and
vegetable garden for the house. More recent additions include
a boxed parterre leading up to the summer house, and a tranquil
Zen meditation garden. A garden for all moods and seasons.

Ireland's only International Motor Racing
Circuit, Mondello hosts over 30 motorbike and car events
every year, including rounds of the British Superbikes,
British Touring Car championships and Formula 3. The packed
calendar of events also includes Track Days, on which enthusiasts
can drive their own performance cars on the circuits and
the Performance Driving Centre, offering courses on driving
single-seater racing cars.
