Duration: 28 matches, 3 days, one point per match
Winners: 14.5 points or more
Tie: 14-14 (the holders retain the trophy)
Day 1 & 2:
4 fourballs
Each player plays the hole.
Each hole is won by the player who shoots the lowest score, or halved if there is a tie.
4 foursomes
Two players on each team take alternate shots using only one ball.
Each hole is won by the team who shoots the lowest score, or halved if there is a tie.
The two captains select eight members from their 12 man team for both the fourballs and foursomes
Day 3 :
All 12 players compete in singles matches
On Saturday the captains will select the order for the singles matches.
Each captain hands in their teams in sealed envelopes.
