- Organisers expect 40,000 spectators per match day with anything from 5,000 – 20,000 on practice days
- 5,000 staff will be working in and around the K Club each day
- The event will be broadcast to 550 million homes not to mention the radio and print media hype that will surround what is described as the third biggest sporting event in the world

Who’s Involved?
- In Europe the event is run by Ryder Cup Ltd, which is made up of the European Tour, the British PGA and the national PGAs of European countries.
- Ryder Cup Travel Services is the official (and only) wholesale operator for ticket and accommodation packages.
- The Ryder Cup Family includes the premier sponsors, who, in 2006 are:

Tickets are sold out!
There were three ways to get a Ryder Cup ticket:
- By buying a package including ticket, accommodation, transfers, and a gala dinner from Ryder Cup Travel Services
- If you are an invited guest on a corporate hospitality package from Ryder Cup Travel Services
- If you were lucky enough to have been selected through the international ticket lottery - the draw was made in September 2005 for 15,000 tickets per day
