Experience the legendary Irish welcome for yourself during Ryder Cup week in 2006! From the 16th to the 24th of September, Co. Kildare will hold the Welcome to the World Festival. It’s an opportunity to experience Irish hospitality and culture at its best.

When you’re not enjoying world class golf at the K Club, sample the varied local events that will be taking place around Kildare.

Live traditional Irish music and Irish dancing displays, cuisine, story-telling, heritage, song, art, crafts, food, céilí dancing lessons, guided tours of heritage sites, local crafts sales & demonstrations, art exhibitions featuring local artists, recreation of legends and events from the past, guided tours of canals, canal cruises, guided walks on the bog of Allen, utilising unique/special performance spaces e.g. concert of Celtic music in St. Brigid’s Cathedral, comedy/music event in Goffs, Ryder Cup Race Day.

All where possible at times suitable to Ryder Cup ticket holders. But this is a festival not only for those attending the Ryder Cup, but for tourists and residents alike.
