Provision of safe water for many villages in Senegal.

1987 - 1991

Help for the poorest women and children in the highlands of Peru.

1991 - 1995

Help in setting up a network of under-fives clinics in Bangladesh, with emphasis on blindness prevention.

1995 - 1999

In collaboration with the Population and Community Development Association in Thailand, Soroptimist International AIDS Mediation developed and implemented income-generating projects to dissuade young girls from entering the sex industry.

1999 - 2003

In collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Limbs for Life project was set up in Afghanistan, Angola and Georgia to help landmine victims.
