Every week the pupils from First to Fourth Class receive tuition in playing the violin. Sonya Cadigan, their tutor, comes to St. Evin's School every Monday to teach the children.  Pupils in first, second, third and fourth classes took part in a lovely violin recital in the school on May 26th, 2014. Each class took their turn on stage to play tunes on their instruments. The instruments have been provided to the school through Kildare County Council Arts Initiative. The Parents' Council fundraise on an annual basis to cover the costs of tuition fees.

All the classes from first to sixth have tin whistle lessons every week. Mr. Gleeson, the tutor, comes to the school every Thursday and he teaches mainly traditional tunes. The girls get a lot of enjoyment out of playing this simple instrument and look forward to Mr. Gleeson's lessons enthusiastically. He generally leads them by playing his violin.
